Terms of Service

By installing or using Handychat you agree to these terms on behalf of your business. You confirm that you have authority to do so and that you operate a business, not a personal or household store.

Handychat is an AI sales agent for Shopify stores. It answers shopper questions, helps shoppers find products, tracks orders, verifies changes with a one-time code, hands conversations to your team, and reports attributed revenue. Features and channels may change over time. Salla and Zid support is not available yet.

You create an account on our website with an email and password or with Google, or install Handychat from the Shopify App Store, and you approve the permissions it asks for. You are responsible for the people you give access to, and for keeping your credentials secure.

Every feature is included on every plan. Plans differ in the number of AI replies included each billing period. Only AI-generated replies sent to a shopper count. Campaigns, broadcasts, and replies a person sends do not.

If you sign up on our website, charges are billed to your card through our payment provider. If you install Handychat from the Shopify App Store, charges are billed through Shopify. Unused replies do not roll over. Beyond the included replies, usage billing applies up to the monthly spending cap you set, or you can choose a hard stop, in which case the AI drafts replies for a person to send. New accounts start with a 7-day free trial. A card is required to start the trial, and it is not charged until the trial ends. If you do not cancel before the trial ends, your subscription starts and your first charge is made.

You can cancel at any time. Cancelling stops future renewals. Monthly and annual plans renew at the end of each period until you cancel. If you cancel during the trial, you are not charged.

We offer a 30-day money-back guarantee. Ask within 30 days of your first payment and we will refund it in full.

Installs from the Shopify App Store are billed through Shopify, and Shopify's own billing terms also apply to them.

You will not use Handychat to:

• break the law, or send spam or unsolicited messages;
• harass, deceive or mislead shoppers, or hide that a reply comes from an AI;
• attempt to disrupt, probe or reverse engineer the service; or
• process data you have no right to process.

AI replies can be wrong. You are responsible for the knowledge, policies and settings you give the agent, for reviewing how it performs, and for the offers and commitments made in your store's name. Handychat includes checks and human handoff, but they do not remove your responsibility.

When you connect WhatsApp, Instagram or Messenger, you must also follow the terms and policies of those providers, including their messaging and template rules. They can limit or suspend access independently of us.

Handychat and its software remain ours. You keep your rights in your content. You grant us the limited right to use your content to provide the service to you.

You own your store and shopper data. We process it only to provide the service, under our Privacy Policy and Data Processing Addendum.

Each party will protect the other's non-public information and use it only for the purposes of these terms, except where the law requires disclosure.

The wording of the warranties and disclaimers will be set in legal review. The service will be provided with reasonable care. AI output is not guaranteed to be error free.

The limits and exclusions of liability will be set in legal review.

The indemnities each party gives will be set in legal review.

You can stop using Handychat at any time by uninstalling the app. We may suspend or end access for breach of these terms or for security or legal reasons. On termination we handle your data as described in the Data Processing Addendum.

The governing law and the forum for disputes will be added here after legal review.

We may update these terms. We will post the new version here and notify merchants of material changes before they apply.
